Principal Update
Hello Conway Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year!
I hope you had a wonderful summer filled with family, friends, and special memories, and that you are enjoying these last few days before the excitement of a new school year begins. My family and I had a fantastic summer making memories right here in San Diego—from exploring the USS Midway and cheering on the Padres to taking in the views on a harbor boat tour!
I am thrilled to begin my second year as the proud Principal of Conway Academy of Expeditionary Learning. We cannot wait to reconnect with or meet our students, families, and community as we embark on another incredible year of EPIC learning, growth, and adventure together!

Extended Office Hours
Great news! In efforts to best support our families, we will have extended office hours Friday August 7 and Monday August 10. Our wonderful front office staff and nurse will be available to support with any registration matters and medication drop off.

Office Hours
The office will be open on the following dates with extended hours:
- Friday, August 7 — 7:30 AM to 6 PM
- Monday, August 10 — 7:30 AM to 6 PM
Our office staff is available to help with registration and medication drop off.
\*Regular office hours will resume August 11 to 7:30 am to 4pm.
Pre K, TK, Kindergarten & 1st Grade Before School Meet and Greet
Families of Pre-K, TK, Kindergarten and 1st grade students are invited to meet our school principal and teachers, get a school tour and more!
Families, please make your way to our school MPR upon your arrival. After a brief welcome from our Principal, Mrs. Miller and a school tour, families will be escorted to their students classroom.

Reminders
- Help your child adjust to earlier bedtimes. Children need 9-12 hours of sleep each night.
- School gate opens at 7:40 am
- Conway Academy offers FREE breakfast and lunch for ALL students.
- Breakfast is served from 7:40 am - 7:55 am in the school cafeteria.
- Bell rings and school starts at 8 am.
- School is out at 2:30 pm (Thursday school is out at 12:10 pm).
- Please send a small snack and a reusable water bottle with your student.
- Students are not allowed to share food or drinks.
- Please send students with closed toed comfortable shoes.
- Parents, family members and guests must always check-in the front office before coming on campus.
- First day of school is August 18, 2026.
