Principal Update
Hello Conway Families,
This week we kicked off our first Dens Day, where students across all grade levels came together for cross-grade crew meetings. Our focus was our theme for the year, Everyone Plays a Piece, and TK–6 students listened to the song Glorious and designed puzzle pieces that represent who they are. Then, they put these puzzle pieces together to create their Den Crew!
These EPIC Dens are a cherished Conway tradition that bring students and staff together in meaningful ways. Be sure to ask your Cougar(s) who their Dens teacher is and what their favorite part of the activity was!

Volunteer Workshop & Fieldwork Training
We want to thank our Conway Community for coming to our 2nd Volunteer Workshop & Fieldwork Training. With the guidance of our amazing Instructional Coach Mrs. Brady, we were able to welcome families and inform them of their valuable presence and support they provide to the future of our Escondido community, their students. Remember, Every One Plays a Piece at Conway Academy.

Great news!
We’ve extended our PTA membership contest to September 30th to help us hit our goal of 200 members! We are super close with just a little over 150 memberships to date. If you haven't joined yet, now is the perfect time!
The Grand Prize: A Family Lunchtime Pizza Party! This isn't just a regular pizza party—winning families will be invited to join their students at school during lunch for pizza, drinks, and tons of fun, all hosted by the Conway PTA!

Fall Scholastic Book Fair
The Fall Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Conway the week of October 5-8. Students and families are welcome to shop before and after school in the library. The book fair will also be open Thursday all day, so make sure you stop by before or after your student led conference.
Volunteers Wanted!
Help set up Friday October 2nd after school in the library from 2:30 - 4 pm.
We could also appreciate help during sale times so please contact Xochitl Maldonado our family liaison for more information.

Feeding San Diego Food Distribution
We will be hosting our monthly food pantry this Thursday, October 1 from 11:30am - 12:30 pm thanks to our community partner Feeding San Diego. Please bring your own bags or rolling cart.

Conway Academy is hosting free food distributions outdoors at Conway Academy. Receive pantry staples and fresh produce at our walk-up distributions!
