Principal's Message
Dear Lincoln Elementary Families,
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! We are delighted to welcome our students and families back to Lincoln Elementary. This year, we remain committed to ensuring that every student is inspired to lead and learn, to value their identity, and to make a positive global impact. Our work is grounded in a fundamental belief: caring for the whole child.
One of the most powerful ways we care for the whole child is through our expanded DENS classes and multi-age "Den" meetings that create small learning communities where every student feels known, valued, and supported. Based on last year's success, we are expanding this initiative: beginning this fall, DENS classes will meet twice monthly instead of once. We are also prioritizing early literacy in grades K-2 to ensure students develop strong foundational reading skills. K-2 teachers will participate in professional development on August 10 and 11 to deepen their understanding of best practices for literacy instruction.
We encourage you to get involved in your student's education and participate in the enriching experiences our Lincoln Lions will have this year. Together, we can create an environment where every student feels supported, inspired, and empowered to lead and learn.
Warmly,
José A. Hernández, Principal
