This week at school...
Miller Elementary’s first week was an absolute hit! Morning drop-off buzzed with excited families, while our awesome first-day decoration pop-ups and photo drops captured unforgettable smiles. The excitement kept growing as 3rd–5th graders received free backpacks filled with school supplies, and all TK–5th students enjoyed a sweet treat courtesy of our GEICO Insurance partners. Students joined me in a school-wide assembly to create our school-wide behavior expectation matrix. Mustangs are truly LEADing the way with their learning, both academically and socially-emotionally. I'm extremely proud! Last night, we wrapped up the week with a fantastic turnout at Back-to-School Night, where parents explored classrooms and reconnected with teachers. To cap off our Friday, 4th and 5th-grade students engaged in an Elementary Band assembly, showcasing the instruments available for our students to learn to play weekly! If that's of interest to your upper-grade student, please complete this form linked on the button below. Lastly, starting Monday, students must be dropped off by parents at the gate thresholds. All visitors will be required to provide a photo ID and check in at the front office for a visitor pass to access campus. Please schedule an appointment if you need to speak with your student(s) teacher.
PE starts next week, and it will be HOT at school. Please prepare your students with light clothing and closed-toe shoes to support their participation and safety. Cool zones will be provided during recesses and lunches; water breaks will be encouraged with campus supervisors.
