Family Weekly Update #2

We had a great week of school this week. It was very hot, but students did a great job keeping hydrated and staying indoors. During lunch and PE, our schedule was modified to keep students indoors as much as possible.

We modified the play to keep it indoors. See a picture of some of our Kinder students participating in a dance party during lunch!

We’re excited to host Pioneer’s first Family Literacy Night on Thursday, September 10 from 5:00-6:30 pm! Please plan to attend this incredible event. There will be a professional theatrical performance, free giveaways, free food, and the chance to connect with Escondido community partners. Be on the lookout for the flyer to come!

Morning Drop Off: Our gates on both the Lincoln and Ash lots open at 7:40 am for drop off. Our gates close promptly at 8:00 am (the tardy bell).

Please Note: Any family/student arriving after 8:00am must be dropped off at the front office in the Lincoln Lot.

Afternoon Pick-up: On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday dismissal is at 2:30 pm. On Thursday, our dismissal is at 12:15 pm. TK and Kindergarten students should be picked up from the Lincoln Lot. Students in grades 1-5 are dismissed from the Ash Lot. If you’d like to have your children make arrangements for siblings of Kindergarten or TK to be picked up at a specified gate, feel free to do so. Otherwise, all teachers will dismiss students from the above mentioned gates. **

September is going to be a fun-filled month! We are excited for Family Days at Lunch, the Scholastic Book Fair, and our Family Literacy Night! Please be sure your students are here every day so they don’t miss out on the fun…and learning!

Today, each child was provided with an envelope in their backpack if you would like to pay with cash or check.

This month each grade level has their very own family day at lunch. This is a fabulous event that occurs twice throughout the year. On this day, families are welcome to come to campus to eat lunch with their child during the times listed below. Please see the schedule below to see the day/time of your child’s lunch. Check your Rooms account for more information from your child’s teacher.
