We’re getting closer to our Parent Teacher Conferences. Please be on the lookout for information and scheduling from your child’s teacher. Parent Teacher Conferences are an excellent way to connect with your child’s teacher, learn about your child’s academic, behavioral and attendance strengths and areas for growth, and to find out how you can best support your student’s progress at each grade level. Thank you for attending conferences!
PTA - Membership Drive
Our goal this year is 260 members this year. As of today, we have 172 members. Please help us reach our goal by joining! There are envelopes in the front office or you can sign up online using Totem. Your donations provide support for the numerous opportunities, events, and programs for all of our Pumas! Thank you for your support!
Fall Book Fair
Our Fall Book Fair is this upcoming week from Monday, September 28 - Friday, October 2. All classrooms will visit the Scholastic Book Fair throughout the week with their classroom teacher. If you would like to know which day your child is visiting, please contact the teacher through Rooms. Students are also welcome to visit before school if they have funds. The book fair is only open after school Monday-Wednesday.

Every Day Counts - Attendance Challenge
We appreciate your diligence in getting your students to school everyday. In the primary grades, crucial reading and math foundations are being built daily that will support your student’s success all the way through their education. Being at school everyday ensures that there aren’t learning gaps that can be difficult to fill. We want the best for all our Pumas, and research shows attendance matters and Every Day Counts.
Monday: 92.74%

PBIS (Positive Behavior Incentive System)
You may not have heard, but Pioneer has received the highest honor, Platinum status, for our PBIS system again this year! Part of that system is “Caught Being Good” reward slips which can be used to purchase items from our Puma Mart or special experiences like extra recess, making slime, or a popsicle reward. You might see purple or yellow “Caught Being Good” slips in your student’s backpack. When you see the slips, congratulate your child and ask specific questions about what they did to earn the “Caught Being Good.”
Spinning Tops
The trending toy at Pioneer right now is the spinning top. We have not had issues with students using them inappropriately and therefore we have allowed students to use them during recess and lunch. As long as students use them safely, responsibly and respectfully, we will allow them to continue at Pioneer. If this should change, however, we will ask students not to bring them to campus.
As a reminder, Pioneer is not responsible for lost or stolen toys and objects that students bring to school.
