Technology Update for Quantum
While technology can serve as a powerful tool for curiosity, critical thinking, and collaborative learning, it can also become a source of distraction and misbehavior if not managed thoughtfully. Our goal is to ensure technology enhances meaningful learning experiences without overshadowing the hands-on, face-to-face engagement that makes our school community so vibrant.
To help strike the right balance, Quantum Academy will no longer send iPads home with students each evening. This policy will help ensure that all of our students still have access to high-impact digital resources during their instructional day while supporting screen-free boundaries, family time, and reducing the need for parents to monitor school devices at home.
We recognize that learning is not one-size-fits-all and exceptions to this policy will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Additionally, temporary home access may be granted during specific school projects that require extra time or digital work outside the classroom. Teachers will communicate directly with parents when exceptions arise.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns about this change.
