Enrichment Class Highlights

All students at Quantum have the opportunity to participate in ten different teacher-led enrichment classes throughout the year. These 2-week classes are multi-grade and take place during the last hour of the day and are meant to tap into students creativity while emphasizing our Quantum values that you can learn more about on our Quantum home page (opens in a new tab).

We kicked off our first round of Enrichment Classes last week and our Quarks were busy showing off their creativity, talent, and teamwork! Here are some samples of what took place during these classes:

In Mr. Ward’s Garden Design class, students decorated rocks that will be displayed in our QA Garden.
In Mr. Gombert’s Sketching class, students followed a step-by-step guide to draw an animal while adding their own creative twist.
In Ms. Miramontes’ Leadership class, students helped kick off Hispanic Heritage Month through Leadership presentations.
In Ms. Carpenter’s Water Bottle Rockets class, students put their rockets to the test!

A huge thank you to our Quantum PTA for providing funding for supplies and supporting our teachers to make these enrichment opportunities possible for our Quarks!

School Site Council Elections

Our Quantum School Site Council has five spots for parent representatives and we currently have six parents interested in serving. Thus, we need to hold an election for parents to vote.

Last call Quantum families! Wednesday is the FINAL day of our PTA Membership Drive! Time is running out to help your student's class win a Frozen Yogurt Party from Yogurtland!

7th Grade Family Lunch Day on 9/28

Families may bring food for their child
After eating, families are invited to join students on the playground if they would like
Students will remain at school until the end of the school day

6th/7th/8th Grade Movie & Munchies on 10/1

We are excited to host our first movie and munchies event for our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students on Thursday, October 1 from 12:45-2:45.

Price: Free to all Quantum students who demonstrate safe, responsible, and respectful behaviors.

Snacks, soda, and water will be sold at the event. Students may bring cash for those concessions or parents may use the new pre-pay option set up by our PTA. Click the link below to access that option.

Parent-Teacher Conferences 10/8-10/9

Seeking Volunteers to Help with Reading

We are looking for parents who are interested in volunteering to help with a reading intervention program for 4th and 5th grade students.

The times needed are 8:15-9:15 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday. Volunteers who can come help weekly on any of those days are appreciated!
