Quantum Academy Parent Bulletin #9

We are excited to announce that our Quantum Garden Committee received a generous grant from Sprouts for $5,000! These funds will support additional garden beds, plants, seeds, ground-cover to reduce weeds, supplies, and most importantly, funding to begin a farm-to-table snack experience where students will be able to sample items grown right here on campus!

Thank you to former Quantum teacher Diane DeWindt, parent Mr. Cozine, our fabulous staff of Ms. Moretti, Ms. Lori, and Mr. Ward, and all of our parent volunteers who have dedicated a tremendous amount of of time and energy to create a garden space that all of our Quantum students will get to enjoy this year.

Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks about how parents will be able to volunteer in the garden this year!

With 37 memberships, Mrs. Elliott’s 4th Grade Class has earned an awesome Frozen Yogurt Party from Yogurtland!

Thank you to EVERY family who joined PTA—your support makes a huge difference for our school. Together, we’re building an amazing year for our students!

The membership drive might be over, but you can still join any time...

We are excited to host our movie and munchies event for our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students on Thursday, October 1 from 12:45-2:45. The movie will be: Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse (Animation)

Price: Free to all Quantum students who demonstrate safe, responsible, and respectful behaviors.

A huge thank you to our PTA for sponsoring these movie nights for our students!

Please click the electronic permission slip below if your child would like to attend. We must have permission for every student, even those enrolled in the YMCA program.

Please note that there will be no school on October 8-9 as those days are designated for parent-teacher conferences.

Specific information about conferences will be sent out this week from your child's teachers.

Our family lunch day for 6th grade students will take place on Wednesday, October 14th from 11:40-12:20. Families can bring food or your child can eat the school-provided lunch.

Eating begins at 11:40. Students and families can stay as long as they would like up until 12:20.

After eating, families are invited to join students on the playground if they would like. After lunch is over, we ask that students stay in school until the end of the day.

Starting on Friday, October 16, we invite parents and caregivers to come and enjoy meaningful moments with their children during recess time! Whether it is to come play a sport or simply spend some time with your child, we would love for you to join us!
