Hello Miller Families! Thank you for another wonderful week! Despite the soaring heat, our campus remained full of energy, determination, and focus as our students engaged in their first i-Ready Inform test of the school year. This baseline assessment will provide valuable insights to help our teachers tailor daily instruction to support each child's unique growth in reading and mathematics. Throughout the high temperatures and testing focus, our students continued to inspire us by being amazing LEADers every single day, showing responsibility in the classroom, kindness on the playground, and incredible effort on their assessments. Thank you for your ongoing partnership, and please remember to keep sending refillable water bottles so our LEADers stay hydrated and ready to excel. Have a wonderful, restful weekend!

Miller Elementary's Dino School
About Dino School
Dino School is a program through Vista Hill's Incredible Years project. It is an evidence based social emotional curriculum designed for TK–3rd grade students.
Facilitators use life-size puppets to model problem solving and emotion management. Children participate in role-plays, brain games, and discussions to learn school rules, empathy, and anger management.

Escuela Dino es un programa del proyecto Incredible Years de Vista Hill. Es un plan de estudios socioemocional basado en evidencia diseñado para estudiantes de TK a 3.º de primaria.
Los facilitadores usan títeres de tamaño real para modelar la resolución de problemas y el manejo de las emociones. Los niños participan en juegos de rol, juegos mentales y debates para aprender las reglas de la escuela, la empatía y el control de la ira.

Attendance Communications & Celebrations
We've continued to make positive progress with our attendance year after year! We will continue to strive towards our school-wide goal of 95% of students in attendance every day.
Friday is a spirit day! Please wear your grade-level color next Friday, 9/4. The more monochromatic, the better! Here are our grade-level colors:

About the Program
Our six-week, easy-to-understand learning institute is designed to be simple and enjoyable to equip parents and caregivers with the tools to become effective advocates for children and agents of positive change in their communities.
By exploring your passions, strengths, and ideas, you'll develop leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
The Parent Leadership Institute provides families with the opportunity to learn, grow, and strengthen their voice within schools.
Families Will Learn About
- The history about public education
- How schools make decisions
- School finances
- Student academic achievement
- ELAC/DELAC, which helps support students who are multilingual
Join us and become an empowered parent leader!
This training will be conducted in Spanish.
