Dear NB Ranch Families,

Welcome to a brand-new school year! I hope you and your family had a wonderful, restful summer filled with sunshine, fun, and memorable moments together.

Our entire staff has been hard at work getting our campus shining, finalizing lesson plans, and preparing welcoming classrooms. We are officially ready and beyond excited to open our doors and welcome our NB Ranch Broncos back to school!

At NB Ranch, we are committed to creating a supportive, engaging, and inspiring environment where every student feels valued and empowered to achieve their best. Whether your family is returning or joining the Bronco community for the very first time, we are so glad you are part of our herd.

First Day of School: Our first day of school is August 18th! The gates will open at 7:35 AM. Students are invited to have breakfast until 7:55 AM when the bell rings. For drop off and pick up procedures please see the section below! School ends at 2:30 PM each day, except Thursdays; Early Release is at 12:15 PM. **Returning Student Registration and New Student Enrollment. Thank you to all our families who have already completed returning student registration. Our goal is for everyone to be registered by August 18th. With Returning Student Registration, you will update your child’s annual mandatory emergency information and registration online through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Updating your child’s emergency information is essential for all EUSD programs.

Teacher Assignments: Teacher assignments will be viewable through the PowerSchool Parent Portal as of Friday 8/14 at 4:00 PM.
In addition, if you registered for the EUSD Rooms app last year, teacher assignment information will be viewable. TK/K families will receive a message with the name of their teacher on Friday.
For the first two weeks of school, while students are transitioning and enrollment finalizes, we do not make changes to teacher assignments.

We will start the school year off with our W.O.W. activities and events from August 18th to August 21st. The purpose of the week of welcome is to:

• Create a positive school culture that is engaging and fun.
• Dedicate time to creating connections with students and families.
• Build school spirit with classroom and grade-level activities.
• Introduce students to the class with art, games, team building, and get-to-know activities.
• Begin Social Emotional Learning Lessons and Community Circles**

Wednesday, August 19th, Ranch Day- Wear your western/farmer gear.
Thursday, August 20th, Pink Ladies Day - Wear Pink or Black! Special activities during lunch recess.
Friday, August 21st, Bronco Spirit Day - Wear Bronco spirit wear, red or black.

Welcome to the new school year, Bronco families! We can’t wait to see everyone. To help keep our campus safe, smooth, and welcoming for all students, here is a quick guide to our campus safety and drop-off/pick-up procedures.

Campus Safety & Visiting Us

Closed Campus: For student and staff safety, all visitors (during and after school) must check in at the main office with our Hall Pass system to receive a visitor sticker.

First Day of School ONLY (August 18): You are welcome to walk your child to class on day one! Friendly staff will be nearby to help with directions. Please note that at 8:05 AM, all visitors will be asked to clear campus so instruction can begin on time. Standard closed campus procedures will apply starting Day 2.

Entering Campus: The lower ramp gate off North Broadway remains closed. Please enter using the sidewalk along the main driveway.

Car Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures

Stay in Your Vehicle: Please stay in your car and follow marked grade-level drop-off/pick-up zones.

TK – 1st Grade: Please wait until you reach the yellow loading zone. Our team will assist with opening passenger-side doors (we recommend installing car seats on the passenger side!). For pick-up, please keep your student’s name sign visible in your front window.

2nd – 5th Grade: Students can exit/enter cars on the passenger side independently in designated zones.

Siblings: Older siblings will join their youngest sibling’s pick-up zone at dismissal.

Parking Tips:** Parking on North Broadway or Jack Rabbit Lane is strictly prohibited, and our main lot is reserved for staff. If you plan to park and walk up, we recommend parking at Jesmond Dene Park or on Country Club Lane.

Walkers & Pets

Walkers: Please use sidewalks, stick to crosswalks, and remind your children to follow staff directions. Walkers should enter and exit using the driveway sidewalk.

Furry Friends: For the safety and comfort of all students, pets are not allowed past the driveway entrance.

Can you earn your High 5? Be at school every day for the first 5 weeks, from Day 1 through Week 5, without missing a day, and you'll earn your official High 5 Bronco Tag! Showing up every day helps you build great habits, stay connected with your classmates, and get the best start to an amazing school year.

If your student required medications at school last year or will require medications this year, please bring updated doctor's orders to the health office. Medications and updated orders must be brought into the health office before the first day of school, and orders must be dated after July 1, 2026. Check out the Amazon wish list (opens in a new tab) for specific needs to each grade! Donations can be dropped off to Room 1 or the main office. If you send them in with your student, please label them PTA Supply Donation and our teachers will get them to the right place.

Exciting news, North Broadway families!
Another great session of After School Explore Classes is right around the corner!
Registration Window: August 24th (morning) – September 2nd. Mark your calendars so you don't miss out on securing a spot for your student!

EUSD is proud to offer no-cost before and after-school programs for the 2026-27 school year. Programs are funded through After School Education and Safety (ASES) grants and Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) funds. These state-funded programs have eligibility criteria but are accessible to all, subject to capacity. Priority enrollment will go to foster/homeless youth, students eligible for free or reduced price meals, and English learners.
