Coyote Connection

Dear Reidy Creek Families,

It was another great week at Reidy Creek as we kicked off September. Our Coyote Store remained busy on Thursday as students turned in their hard-earned coupons to purchase items! There were already a few students who earned over 100 and will be joining me for ice cream one day. As a reminder, students can earn coupons throughout the day for following our school-wide expectations: Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful, and Be a Leader.

Lastly, September is Attendance Awareness Month. This year, we have a school-wide goal to increase our daily average attendance to 95%. In August, we had a 97% attendance rate, so we're off to a strong start! However, this week, we started to see an uptick in absences (non-illness related). Please help us prioritize attendance by avoiding scheduling trips, appointments, and other events during the school day. If your student has an appointment, please submit a doctor's note to the front office for each absence. The attendance line is open 24/7 at 760-739-5800; absences not called in by 3 pm on Friday are automatically marked as unexcused. Stay tuned to hear about both school-wide and class-wide attendance competitions to motivate students to attend school!

All 25-26 CAASPP & ELPAC Student Score Reports were mailed to 3rd-5th-grade parents/guardians last week.

Our staff carefully analyzes both individual and grade-level data to set goals and make instructional decisions for the new school year.

On January 20, 2026, the EUSD Board of Education approved a new regulation that mandates a "powered off and out of sight" environment to minimize distractions and support student well-being. I would like to reinforce our school's policy regarding the use of mobile communication devices at school. Our goal is to create a focused and productive learning environment for all students, free from distractions. To achieve this, Reidy Creek will continue to maintain a policy that prohibits the use of smartphones and other mobile communication devices at any time while students are on school grounds.

If students have cell phones or smart watches, they need to remain powered off and in their backpacks for the duration of the day.

Thank you for all your help with morning drop off and afternoon pickup. It is extremely helpful when students have their backpacks on and are ready to hop out of the car in the morning! If your child can exit the car on their own, they are welcome to get out and walk to the gate. If they need additional assistance, please pull all the way forward so one of our staff members can help. Please do not get out of your car. This can create significant traffic at the light and prevent other cars from entering Reidy Creek and dropping off on time.

As a reminder, there are no dogs allowed on campus, which includes during arrival and dismissal.

We've almost reached our goal of 200 members! If we reach the goal, we'll get to reward our students with a school-wide popcorn party. Click and register below, and be sure to join us at Restaurant Night, Boo Bash, and Movie Night this Fall. It's only $12 to join!

We also have our first PTA association meeting on Tuesday, September 8th, at 6:15 over Zoom. The link will be sent out next week. We hope you can join us and hear about all the exciting events we have planned this year.

Our FAVE Art Program is built on the belief that every student deserves to experience art, its history, its makers, its techniques, and its incredible range across cultures and time. This year, we're looking for passionate volunteers to help bring that vision to life in the classroom through monthly art lessons that spark curiosity and creativity.

Volunteers provide monthly hands-on art lessons in each classroom. You do not need an art background to volunteer.

This program is only run by volunteers, so please sign up below if you are interested.

Hello Reidy Creek Families! We are excited to start our Recess Reimagined games! However, we need volunteers to help kick off this program.
