Coyote Connection

Dear Families,

This morning, we kicked off our Coyote Bubble Run Fundraiser with a fun-filled Kick-Off Assembly! The morning was packed with skits, prize announcements, and, of course, LOTS of bubbles! Below are some pictures from the event. The Coyote Bubble Run will be held on Thursday, October 1st, and is the PTA’s main school fundraiser. This year, our goal is to raise $55,000! Because this is a parent-led fundraiser, every dollar raised stays right here at Reidy Creek to support our students and teachers.

There are lots of exciting incentives along the way! Every student will receive a Reidy Creek Bubble Run shirt on the day of the event, and students will earn a Coyote Spirit Pack with their first donation. There are also some fantastic prizes up for grabs, including Legoland tickets and a giant Connect Four game! Classes can earn fun rewards like ice cream parties and glow-in-the-dark bowling, and if we reach our school goals, we’ll even have a Teacher Sumo Wrestling Event and the chance to decorate my astronaut suit and get me ready for space! One lucky student will even get to be Principal for the Day!

Please help your child reach their goal by spreading the word to family and friends. Every donation helps us get closer to our $55,000 goal! Search for your student’s personal donation page by first name and the first three letters of their last name. You can also share your student’s personal page with friends and family via email, social media, or by providing them the 99pledges link or QR code.

This week, we had our first round of Shining Star Awards for our Kindergarten students. The categories of our awards reflect the six competencies from EUSD’s Learning Profile as part of the Framework for the Future. The categories are listed below:

Thank you to all those who submitted their name for our School Site Council. We are still looking for a few more nominations for our two open spots. As a reminder, our School Site Council is comprised of the principal, school staff, parents/guardians/and community members. School Site Councils typically meet 4 times per year. The School Site Council is responsible for:

-Assisting the principal in the development of the School Plan for Student Achievement
-Approving the completed School Plan for Student Achievement
-Reviewing and analyzing assessment data
-Monitoring the Implementation of the School Plan for Student Achievement

Our first School Site Council meeting is Monday, October 5th at 3pm.

Complete the School Site Council Nomination Form (opens in a new tab) if you are interested in running. All submissions are due by Friday, September 25th.

To help keep our school safe and our classrooms focused on learning, toys and personal play items should stay at home. Please check your child’s backpack and pockets before school to make sure toys and personal play items are left at home.

Please leave these items at home:
Stuffed animals
Toys and action figures
Electronic games and gaming devices
Labubus and similar collectible toys
Sports equipment or other play items from home

Please do not send valuable items to school. The school is not responsible for personal items that are lost, stolen, or damaged. Thank you for helping us keep our classrooms focused on learning and our school safe!

Community Resource: Neighborhood Healthcare’s Mobile Dental Service

It is great to see so many registration forms for Neighborhood Healthcare’s Mobile Dental Services being returned to the school! We are excited that students will have the opportunity to receive dental services from the Mobile Dental Unit right here on our campus.

If this is a program you would like your student to take advantage of, please complete the Registration Form included in the packet and return it to our front office. Please be sure to sign the back page of the form, as this provides consent for services.

If your student participated in the program last year, you will still need to complete a new registration form for this school year. Forms can also be completed digitally using these links:

Volunteer Opportunities

• Our Recess Reimagined games will continue every Friday! Thank you to all the volunteers that have signed up so far. Students love having extra activities to play during recess. If you have some free time on Friday mornings, please consider signing up for a day. Your help will make a big difference in providing our students with fun activities during recess!
